A total of 38 design proposals were submitted for the architectural competition to design a multifunctional city garage in the center of Kolašin. The first prize, worth 16,000 euros, was awarded to Montenegrin architects Milić Đerković and Miloš Ostojić.
The planned garage will include between 200 and 300 parking spaces, with a maximum gross floor area of 5,007.68 square meters and up to five above-ground levels — ground floor, three floors, and an attic.
According to the Municipality of Kolašin, six entries stood out for their quality and ability to meet spatial and functional requirements. After a detailed evaluation of the architectural concept, functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency, the jury awarded three main prizes and two honorable mentions.
The winning design was praised for its comprehensive and rational approach, efficient use of terrain, and integration with pedestrian and traffic flows in the city center. The project envisions 276 car parking spaces, 20 for bicycles, and eight for motorcycles, with well-defined circulation routes.
The second prize of 10,000 euros went to Ji Xin and Ge Jiaqi from China, while the third prize of 6,000 euros was awarded to a Montenegrin team consisting of Andrea Pajković, Senad Aručević, Vanja Gojić, and Ivona Eraković.
Two honorable mentions of 2,000 euros each were awarded to a team from Peru and another from Serbia.
