The turnover of companies in Montenegro last year was 8.59 billion euros, Monstat announced.
“The gross value of production in the last year was 5.05 billion euros, intermediate consumption was 2.88 billion euros, while the gross added value was 2.16 billion euros”, the announcement states.

In Monstat’s structural research on the business operations of companies in Montenegro last year, it is stated that 913.83 million euros are related to the construction industry.
The aim of the structural research on the company’s operations is the calculation of the indicators needed for the analysis of the structure of the activities of business entities, the structure of inputs and outputs of the production process, business success and competitiveness of economic entities.
Turnover, as explained by statisticians, includes the calculated income from the sale of goods and services without value added tax (VAT).
The gross value of production represents the market value of all produced goods and services.
Intermediate consumption at purchase prices is the value of products and services that are transformed, used or consumed in the production process.
Gross value added represents the difference between the gross value of production and intermediate consumption.
Data for the compilation of structural business statistics (SBS) and the calculation of indicators are collected from administrative and statistical data sources.
The most important administrative sources of data are the company’s financial reports and the statistical annex, local media reports.
