Representatives of two local communities have filed a criminal complaint over road works in Kolašin, disputing asphalt paving towards Kostrikovača Monastery. They say the section is outside the route for which the Ministry of Public Works allocated 200,000 euros.
Montenegro recycled 1,145 tonnes of municipal waste in 2025, or 0.28% of the total generated, according to the country’s Statistical Office. A government plan targets a 65% recycling rate by 2035 and calls for 400 million euros of investment by the end of 2029.
Two private companies inspect AIS equipment on commercial vessels in Montenegro, but the Maritime Safety Administration says the work is not reserved for them. The dispute follows a Yacht Register letter describing the firms as the only companies authorised to certify the equipment on the state’s behalf.

Montenegro’s Environmental Protection Agency has ruled that three sections of the Kolašin–Mojkovac road reconstruction do not require an environmental impact assessment report. The decision covers part of a 21.35-km project led by the Transport Administration.
Professor and economic analyst Vasilije Kostić says the planned minimum wage increase exceeds Montenegro’s economic capacity and could push the budget deficit to 4.5% to 5.5% of GDP.
