Numerous events and exciting programs took place in Portonovi this spring and announced the opening of the summer season. Portonovi Spring Saga – organized from April 28 to May 7 with a varied program for visitors and guests of all generations, was an excellent introduction to everything waiting for us this summer.
Last week, Portonovi reached a record in visitor numbers thanks to the events that gathered over 40,000 guests to the resort from Montenegro, the region, and the world. Visitors enjoyed the market with well-known caterers, One&Only Portonovi, Cantina 65, Idea, Friends House, Auntie’s House, Maison du Monde, House of Azerbaijan, and Bel Paese, with their wide range of sweet and savory products, such as pancakes, waffles, pizzas, salads, doughnuts, pies and much more interesting for both adults and children.
The spring market was closed on Sunday, and in addition to tasty delicacies, last ten days, visitors enjoyed Jelena Rozga’s concert, local klapa and DJ performances, sports events for kids, Ludo tournament, ex-Yu cars exhibition, and tours to Tito’s Villa, dance performances, concert for the International Dance Day, and Mirror Crew performance.
There was great interest in Jelena Rozga’s concert, and she gathered around 6,000 people in Portonovi Marina Square, which went even further through social networks. The video of her performance is another video to have a million views,“ said the Director of Marketing and Communications at Portonovi, Adrijana Husić.
“This year, we started the season earlier, relying on the previous success of – not only our Holiday Season – but also the Mimosa Festival organized by the Municipality of Herceg Novi. This way, we enable the continuity necessary to attract larger numbers of guests and extend the duration of the season itself. This is particularly important because Montenegro continues to position itself as a destination; in addition to good connectivity, which is a prerequisite, and natural beauty, which is unquestionable, the content we offer must be attractive to guests.
For this reason, we are trying to organize activities through Portonovi that have not been or were rarely organized until now. Thus, for the first time in Montenegro, Pizana Gallery visitors will have an exclusive opportunity to see an exhibition of sold-out expensive licensed exhibits (statues) of the most famous media franchises modeled after the famous ComicCon – WonderCon Montenegro Sneak Preview,” added Husić.
Portonovi Calendar of Events 2023 confirms that there is a lot to offer when it comes to events and activities for guests of all generations. From concerts to exhibitions and theme nights to kids’ games days.
For all sea activity enthusiasts – traditionally, Portonovi will host international Regatta EST 105 Bari-Herceg Novi this year, which will take place from May 18 to 20, as well as IV Portonovi Regatta “Boka Islands” from June 9 to 11.
In addition to sea sports activities, on June 3 and 4, a 3×3 basketball tournament will take place in Portonovi, and the traditional Portonovi Aquathlon will be on September 10.
The season of summer concerts traditionally begins with the performance of the Local Music Đenović in Portonovi Marina on July 5. The local orchestra is a symbol of the gathering of young musicians from Herceg Novi and nearby towns and has produced generations of musicians, from enthusiasts to professionals.
ABBA, Queen, and Barcelona Gypsy balKan Orchestra are the concerts people have talked about these days. After the great success they achieved in Europe by performing the biggest hits of this legendary band, Dancing Queen – ABBA Symphonic Tribute Show is coming to Portonovi on July 21, where we are waiting for an incredible evening filled with songs we will sing along to, dance and enjoy timeless hits.
In Porotnovi Marina Square on August 5, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance of QUEEN SYMPHONY SENSATION, performing the iconic songs of the legendary British rock band.
The world-famous Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra, which has performed in more than 35 countries, will continue to convey a special emotion through Balkan music in their own way on August 12 in Portonovi Marina Square.
Wine nights are one of the events that attracted a lot of attention from visitors. They are organized in Portonovi in July. This year, on July 29, in addition to more than 30 exhibitors who will present their products, the audience will also enjoy the music of Jelena Tomašević. A day later, the audience will enjoy the performance called “Naše veče” (Our Night) by Ivan Bosiljčić and his band, including music and poetry.
