Banks’ liquid assets in June amounted to EUR 1.69 billion, which is 0.65 percent more than in May.
The liquid assets of banks in June, compared to the same month last year, were 13.52 percent higher.
Liquidity coefficients for the banking system as a whole were above the prescribed minimums, on a daily and decadal level.
The balance sheet total of banks at the end of June amounted to EUR 6.5 billion and recorded an increase of 1.16 percent compared to May, while at the annual level it increased by 16.16 percent.
In the structure of banks’ assets, in June, the dominant share of 61.25 percent was achieved by total loans, followed by cash and deposit accounts with central banks with 20.2 percent, securities with 17.68 percent, while 0.87 percent related to the remaining assets.
In the structure of liabilities, the dominant share of 81.03 percent was achieved by deposits, followed by capital with 11.62 percent, loans with 4.26 percent, while other items accounted for 3.09 percent of total liabilities.
The total capital of banks at the end of June amounted to EUR 755.68 million, and on a monthly and annual level, it recorded a growth of 1.5 percent and 28.33 percent, respectively.
