According to preliminary data from Mostat, the total foreign trade of Montenegro in the first ten months amounted to EUR 3.7 billion, which is 5.4 percent more compared to the same period last year.
Monstat announced that exported goods were worth EUR 538.4 million, which is 6.6 percent less compared to the comparative period. Imports were 7.8 percent higher and amounted to EUR 3.17 billion.
“The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 17 percent and is less compared to the same period of the previous year when it amounted to 19.6 percent,” the announcement states.
In the export structure, mineral fuels and lubricants are the most represented in the amount of EUR 221.1 million, which are made up of electricity with EUR 190.1 million and others.
In the structure of imports, the most represented are machines and transport devices in the amount of EUR 717.2 million, which are made up of road vehicles with EUR 262.7 million and others.
The largest foreign trade partners in exports were Serbia with EUR 145 million, Bosnia and Herzegovina EUR 65.4 million and Slovenia EUR 61.8 million.
The largest foreign trade partners in imports were Serbia with EUR 553.6 million, China EUR 352.8 million and Germany EUR 297.6 million.
Foreign trade was the largest with the signatories of the Central European Free Trade Area (CEFTA) and with the European Union (EU).
