China is eager to bolster the export of high-quality agricultural goods from Montenegro to China and enhance collaboration in agriculture, including ecological, smart, and digital farming. Ambassador Fan Kun of the People’s Republic of China conveyed this sentiment during a meeting with Montenegro’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management, Vladimir Joković.
Highlighting China’s status as a major agricultural nation, Ambassador Fan stressed China’s keen attention to agricultural matters and underscored the longstanding friendship between China and Montenegro. He emphasized the vast potential for agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Joković acknowledged China’s advanced agricultural technology and expressed Montenegro’s readiness to strengthen collaboration in this domain. He outlined Montenegro’s commitment to boosting exports of agricultural products such as wine and meat, welcoming investments from Chinese firms, particularly in the fishing and forestry sectors. Both parties emphasized the importance of educational exchanges and study visits to China for agricultural experts.
