Analysis: Construction sector’s performance shows mixed results in Q1

According to Monstat data, the value of completed construction projects in the first quarter increased by 3.4% compared to the same period last year.

However, there was an 11.2% decrease in the value of completed construction works in the first quarter compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

“In the first quarter, the effective hours logged at construction sites increased by 0.5% compared to the same period last year,” the statement noted.

Yet, these effective hours were 1.5% lower than those recorded in the fourth quarter of last year.
