The Commercial Court in Podgorica has again postponed its decision on whether Vektra Boka will enter bankruptcy for the second time. The hearing was delayed at the request of the court due to the replacement of the interim bankruptcy administrator Jovan Lopušina, confirmed by Danilo Matijašević, owner of Elena Group, who acquired 33% of Vektra Boka’s shares on the Montenegro Stock Exchange. A new hearing date has not yet been set.
Recall that President of the Commercial Court Mladen Grdinić rejected Elena Group’s request to exclude Judge Nemanja Popović from the bankruptcy proceedings of Vektra Boka, which was filed at the end of April.
Three years ago, the Tax Administration filed for bankruptcy against Vektra Boka, claiming 1.1 million euros.
Matijašević is willing to settle the debt with the Tax Administration and pay off debts to employees, the municipality, and the Acović family from the proceeds of the sale of Hotel Igalo, which is built on their land. Some workers represented by Đorđe Rajak advocate for bankruptcy proceedings against Vektra Boka, while others represented by Vojin Miljanić see their future in Elena Group’s plans.
