Boris Mugoša, head of the SD parliamentary group and representative of the European Union, highlighted key issues affecting Montenegro’s economy. He stated that while the economy is growing, it is not developing due to a lack of institutional support.

Mugoša pointed out that micro-enterprises, which make up 93% of businesses and employ 41% of the workforce, are struggling, with their capital down by 25% since 2019. Additionally, the foreign trade deficit reached 3 billion euros in the first ten months of the year, with exports decreasing by 15% and imports rising by 6.3%.
