Montenegro and UAE forge agreements to strengthen economic cooperation and investment

The governments of Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed agreements on economic cooperation and joint investment during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The agreements were signed by the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of President of the UAE.

According to the government, the purpose of the agreements is to stimulate the development of cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit, fully aligned with the legislations of both countries.

The collaboration will cover numerous areas, with a particular focus on strategic projects and those of public interest, which will result in economic benefits for the citizens of both nations.

After the signing, the Prime Minister stated that Montenegro needs investments from reputable companies that have successfully completed major projects over the decades, and whose work is guaranteed by the most reputable countries in the world.

According to him, the economic cooperation agreement creates a foundation for expanding cooperation, which will lead to increased investments in Montenegro.

“The tourism cooperation agreement lays the foundation for projects that will rapidly accelerate economic growth, create new jobs, and improve the standard of living and quality of life, ensuring benefits are evenly distributed between the south and north of the country,” the Prime Minister said.

He emphasized that the agreement includes provisions for developing projects in different regions of Montenegro, ensuring balanced national development for the first time in history.

The Prime Minister also stated that this is a significant opportunity for Montenegro to accelerate its economic development, bringing higher salaries, pensions, and other benefits to all citizens.
