Montenegro’s wholesale trade reaches €3.79 billion in 2024, led by food sector

Wholesale trade turnover in Montenegro reached €3.79 billion in 2024, marking a 7.3% increase compared to 2023, according to preliminary data from Monstat.

Food products accounted for the largest share, representing 29.9% of total wholesale turnover. The data includes companies primarily engaged in wholesale trade, based on a sample covering all large and medium-sized firms and a random sample of small businesses. The turnover reflects goods supplied to retail companies, manufacturers, and major institutional consumers such as healthcare, education, and defense organizations.
