Agrolife Montenegro has received approval to build a solar power plant in the Bratica area of Ulcinj. The plant will cover over 90,000 square meters and feature more than 9,500 solar panels.
The Environmental Protection Agency approved the Environmental Impact Assessment, confirming that the project meets legal requirements and includes measures to prevent, reduce, or mitigate environmental impacts during construction, operation, and in the event of accidents, along with a monitoring program.
The plant will have an installed capacity of 6.6 MWp, achieved with 9,568 photovoltaic panels, each rated at 690 Wp. Panels will be mounted on steel structures optimized for maximum energy production throughout the year. Sixteen inverters of 300 kW each will convert electricity to 0.8 kV AC, providing a total plant output of 4.8 MWe.
The solar plant will operate in an “on-grid” mode, feeding electricity into the grid only when network voltage is present; it will automatically disconnect in case of a power outage.
