In the first half of the year, Montenegro received a total of €448.57 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), while €213.31 million flowed out, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank (CBCG).
The net FDI inflow amounted to €235.26 million, down 4.15% compared to the same period last year. Total FDI inflows increased 6.14% year-on-year.
Equity investments accounted for €267.72 million (59.68% of total inflows), including €228.86 million in real estate and €38.86 million in companies and banks. Intercompany debt inflows reached €162.9 million, up 3.93% from last year. The remaining 4.01% came from other investments, including withdrawals from abroad.
