Democratic Montenegro lawmaker Boris Bogdanović published his 12th list of recipients of state apartments and preferential loans, detailing allegations involving former Plantaže director Verica Maraš, government official Nikola Dedeić and former Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare spokeswoman Tatjana Radulović. The claims concern housing allocations, subsidised credit and compensation involving public companies and officials.
Maraš was first on the list. It says she reported four apartments, including two received from Plantaže; one measured 147 square metres. Her salary was 7,300 euros, compared with a minimum wage in Montenegro of 222 euros, equivalent to 33 minimum wages. The account also alleges she arranged an entitlement with herself to 24 gross salaries, worth about 250,000 euros, on leaving Plantaže, and sued the company seeking a further 300,000 euros. Bogdanović said: “Four apartments were not enough; neither was 7,300 euros or 250,000 for leaving. She sought 300,000 more.” He also described her as apparently finding “neither four apartments nor 7,300 euros a month” sufficient to provide for herself.
Nikola Dedeić, second on the list, is deputy secretary-general of the Government of Montenegro and a Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) official. The entry records a 20,000-euro loan, a write-off of 16,000 euros and monthly instalments of 36 euros. It also says the state sought compulsory collection of his debt in 2023.
Tatjana Radulović, a former spokeswoman for the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, received a 71-square-metre apartment for 8,488 euros, or 120 euros per square metre, according to the list. Her instalment was 42 euros.
Bogdanović also said: “Now the cowards, yes-men and sleepers of DPS will awaken across all parties to save their own financiers.”
