The ferry on the route Bar – Bari will start operating in the middle or end of June, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced, stating that the goal is to buy our own ferry that will sail 365 days a year and that will have clear dates when it works.
Even if it is not full, if it is half empty, he has to maintain the line. Once people get used to the fact that the line exists and is constant, they will start to use it additionally – said Abazović. As he said, it is important for the sphere of business, tourism and general connectivity.
We cannot be a coastal country without having a waterway connection with any other country. This is something we are definitely changing – he said. According to him, we have an arrangement with the Italians for this tourist season.
However, as soon as we see the parameters, we start immediately, and we have already taken the first steps and looked at several ships, for Barska plovidba to buy a ferry and for it to have its own route 365 days a year. I think it will be a spectacle for our citizens, but also for business, which we should direct towards the Port of Bar and the coast in general – concluded Abazović.
