Bećović Management Group has received approval to reconstruct and expand the central hotel building within the Mediteran complex in Ulcinj, aiming to upgrade the hotel to a five-star standard.

The company purchased the Mediteran hotel, villas, and associated land from Ulcinjska Riviera in July 2005 for €940,000. After delays, a 2021 agreement with the government committed the investor to invest €13 million over three years to elevate the hotel’s service level to four-plus and five stars. Later, the owner announced a €15 million investment, with construction expected to last two years.

The redevelopment plan involves demolishing three existing buildings currently used as a public parking lot and reconstructing the central hotel building with a new hotel wing and underground garage. The existing hotel’s exterior will be preserved as much as possible, while the interior will be significantly modernized and restructured to meet current standards.

The complex will consist of two interconnected buildings on separate parcels, connected by internal passages. The main entrance, public areas, and some accommodations will be on one parcel, while the other will include public amenities like a casino and international restaurant, plus additional guest rooms and wellness facilities.

Amenities include a spa center with a 6.5m by 24m swimming pool, conference and event halls, and multiple suites featuring terraces with sea views and whirlpool tubs. Underground parking for 190 vehicles will be built across two levels, supplemented by a separate three-level garage with 36 spots, serving both hotel guests and the local community.

Landscaping plans emphasize native Mediterranean vegetation to integrate the complex harmoniously into the surrounding environment.

Last year, Bećović Management Group opened Villa Edition, part of the new Mediteran Hotel complex, featuring 100 modern rooms upgraded to five-star standards, outdoor heated pools, a café bar, and expanded parking with electric vehicle charging stations.
