The adopted budget brings stability, opens doors to numerous investments, and creates conditions for the balanced development of our country, stated Ernad Suljević, Minister for Regional and Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations.
Commenting on the adoption of the Budget Law for this year, he emphasized that special focus will be placed on the northern region, which will finally have the opportunity for dynamic economic growth.
“With great satisfaction and enthusiasm, we welcomed the adoption of the budget, which marks a crucial step towards stronger economic development and the betterment of all citizens,” said Suljević.
He assessed that this is a turning point for the future of Montenegro, and from this moment forward, the country is moving ahead with full force to achieve its set goals.
On Friday, members of parliament adopted the Budget Law for this year, the Borrowing Decision, and also gave the green light for amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law, which will provide proportional pensioners whose combined pensions are below the minimum threshold with compensation up to 450 EUR.
