The Mayor of Budva, Nikola Jovanović, and the President of the Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić, hosted an official meeting with Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties & Eagle Hills, focusing on tourism development and infrastructure projects in Budva. Discussions also covered potential collaboration in urban development and public-private partnerships.
Jovanović highlighted Budva’s role as a key tourist hub in Montenegro and emphasized the importance of international investments for enhancing the city’s tourism offerings, improving residents’ quality of life, and increasing value for visitors. He expressed optimism that collaboration with investors and government institutions would lead to projects supporting the city’s growth.
Alabbar thanked local officials for the hospitality and described the meeting as the first step toward exploring joint projects of mutual benefit. He emphasized the potential for Budva and Montenegro to strengthen their international position by combining local resources with global expertise and investment.
Both sides stressed that all future investments must meet high environmental standards and preserve natural resources. The meeting concluded with an agreement to define specific projects and collaboration models, aiming to establish a productive, long-term partnership to advance Budva as a leading regional tourist destination.
