Cetinje launches Development Program for 2025 to enhance quality of life

The Cetinje City Assembly has approved a Development Program for 2025, focusing on key initiatives to improve the city’s quality of life, as announced by the mayor’s office.

The program includes 12 planned projects with a total budget of €9 million, targeting improvements in communal, sports, tourism and public infrastructure, as well as the preservation of cultural and historical heritage. It also aims to create new jobs and maximize tourism potential.

“2025 will be a pivotal year for Cetinje, featuring major projects designed to enhance the economic environment and create conditions for new job opportunities, which is a top priority for our growth. We are committed to building Cetinje into a desirable home for young people, ensuring they have the necessary conditions for a dignified life,” stated Mayor Nikola Đurašković.

The program outlines several multi-year projects, including the construction and renovation of the water supply network, the reconstruction of a section of Vučedolska Street, the rehabilitation of the main drainage system, the beautification of city parks, and the development of the Lokanda hotel with an underground garage.

In closing, Đurašković expressed his gratitude to the assembly members for their support and to the citizens who provided valuable feedback during the public discussion.
