The number of off-season flights should be increased, and cooperation should be strengthened, especially regarding the Asian market where there is mutual interest in the region, noted Tourism Minister Simonida Kordić and the General Director of Turkish Airlines in Montenegro, Mutalip Ilhan.

“Kordić emphasized that Turkish Airlines is crucial for Montenegro, providing excellent connections to the entire world.”

During their meeting, they highlighted that the Turkish national carrier has been operating direct flights between Istanbul and Montenegrin airports for years, contributing to an influx of tourists from various markets due to its significance as an aviation hub to the rest of Europe and other continents.

“The numbers are good, but they could be much better. Montenegro has stunning nature and a rich cultural and historical heritage, which can attract visitors from all countries. Improved promotion and better airport infrastructure are essential,” Ilhan assessed.
