EPCG launches tender for construction of Otilovići small hydropower plant in Pljevlja

The Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) has announced a tender for the construction of the Otilovići small hydropower plant in Pljevlja. The project is valued at 6.8 million EUR excluding VAT, or 8.47 million EUR including VAT.

The tender involves the preparation of the main design, construction of buildings, delivery and installation of electro-mechanical equipment, testing, and commissioning.

The deadline for the main design is 6 months from the date of signing the public procurement contract, and this period does not include the planned review period. As for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study, the deadline is also 6 months, excluding the time needed for approval by the Environmental Protection Agency. The deadline for construction work is a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 20 months from the start of the project. EPCG will introduce the contractor to the job within 7 days of obtaining the construction permit.

Bids must be submitted by 10:00 AM on January 31.

The project involves the construction of the Otilovići small hydropower plant with a capacity of approximately 2.6 MW, and a planned annual electricity generation of 11 GWh.

The concession agreement with EPCG was signed in August 2022, and urban planning and technical conditions were issued in mid-2023, alongside an annex to the contract.

EPCG had also issued a tender in May of this year, with a project value of 7 million EUR excluding VAT, or 8.5 million EUR including VAT.
