Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) is intensifying its efforts to modernize and enhance its infrastructure, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development and the energy transition.
EPCG’s Executive Director, Ivan Bulatović, held a meeting with the management of EPCG-Željezara Nikšić and EPCG-Solar-Gradnja at the EPCG-Željezara Nikšić administrative building. The meeting provided an overview of the key infrastructure projects completed recently.
The discussion focused on the progress made and outlined next steps for revitalizing the once-thriving industrial hub. Highlights included the successful rehabilitation of the old administrative building, the modernization of substations, and the construction of a solar power plant, with a 1.7 MW solar installation now in trial operation. These efforts reinforce EPCG’s dedication to green energy and improving energy efficiency.
Additionally, a new workers’ restaurant was opened, providing a modern space for employees to rest and enjoy meals. This project is part of EPCG-Željezara Nikšić’s broader strategy to enhance working conditions and foster a positive business environment.
Bulatović expressed satisfaction with the company’s progress, emphasizing the critical role of these investments for the future of both EPCG and its workforce.
“These achievements demonstrate how strategic investments and responsible business practices can revitalize industrial operations and ensure sustainability,” said Bulatović. He also emphasized ongoing investments in infrastructure, new technologies, and renewable energy sources, which enhance energy efficiency and contribute to the long-term growth of EPCG.
“This is another step toward positioning EPCG as a leader in the region’s energy transition,” added Bulatović.
