The ferry “Mia” operated by the Italian company Adria Ferries departed this morning from a new location in the Port of Bar, heading to Durres. The alternative berth, called II/6, is located in the customs-free zone of the Port of Bar. The solution was made possible primarily thanks to the Port of Bar AD, which provided and prepared the new berth.

Security has been arranged, and the Bar Municipality is closing nearby roads to facilitate operations. Customs and police authorities are also ensuring all procedures are followed.

This morning, the Ancona – Bar – Durres route transported 136 passengers, 36 cars, 5 campers, and 12 motorcycles. On the return route Durres – Bar – Ancona, approximately 160 passengers and 50 cars are expected tonight.

The move to the new berth follows an incident at Berth V on the last day of July, where the Croatian company Jadrolinija’s ship “Dalmacija” and Adria Ferries’ ferry “AS Mia” experienced a malfunction.
