The National Tourism Organization (NTO) in cooperation with strategic partners, Air Montenegro, the Gold Travel travel agency and the Budvanska Riviera Hotel Group, organized a study visit by representatives of the French media and tour operators staying in Montenegro.
These are representatives of the five eminent French media Libération, L’Officiel, Femme Actuelle, Paulette Magazine, BIBA, as well as representatives of tour operators Voyage Prive, Mondoramas, Esprit de voyages and La Route des Voyages.
During the stay, which lasts from Tuesday to tomorrow, the guests had the opportunity to visit Budva, Bar, Kotor and Perast, the Portonovi complex, to enjoy the natural beauty of Bjelasica, as well as to taste wines in the Šipčanik wine cellar.
The journalist of BIBA magazine, Sylvie Barbier, said that this is not her first time in Montenegro, that she knows its charm, untouched nature and hospitable people, and hopes that through the article she is preparing, she will be able to bring readers closer to this very interesting destination that offers numerous activities in nature.
Representatives of the French media and tour operators were particularly impressed by the Skadar Lake National Park and the small fishing village of Virpazar.
Clemence Bouquerod, in front of PAUL.E magazine, said that the first impression that Montenegro left on her was that it is a beautiful and exotic country rich in natural resources.
“It offers numerous and varied activities to tourists. I think it has huge potential with the French because of the scenery, the wonderful food and the excellent wines. Budva is beautiful, I think that the younger generations would enjoy good fun, on the beaches, as well as in numerous hotels with a spa offer”, said Bouquerod.
During the study stay, on Thursday at Hotel Montenegro, a B2B workshop was held where representatives of tour operators from France met with representatives of the Montenegrin tourism industry. These types of meetings are always well attended and are a great way to make contact.
The representative of the tour operator Esprit de voyage, Constance Sarde, said that it was her first time in Montenegro, and that she was fascinated by the combination of mountain and sea landscapes.
“You have a very diverse offer, from staying in rural households to luxury resorts, you are a destination for family people, but also for young people who want to have a good time. And most importantly, it is easy to get to Montenegro”, said Sarde.
This study visit is one of a series of promotional activities when it comes to the strategically important French market. Thanks to the increase in the number of direct flights of the national airline Air Montenegro on the route Montenegro – France, conditions have been created for generating more tourist traffic from this market, which is best evidenced by the fact that, according to Monstat data, from the beginning of the year to the end of August, we had three times more guests from France in collective accommodation facilities.
In addition to the organizers, the local tourist organizations of Budva, Bar and Kotor, One&Only Portonovi, Plantaže and National Parks of Montenegro gave their support in organizing the study visit of the media and tour operators from France, Mina News writes.
