Parts for the Gvozd wind farm are being transported. This is the largest state-owned energy project in the past 40 years, according to environmental activist Aleksandar Dragićević. The wind farm is expected to produce around 150 GWh annually, enough to supply approximately 25,000 households.
The total project cost exceeds 80 million euros, with an estimated annual electricity value of 20 million euros. Dragićević emphasized that the project was fully managed as a state initiative and advocates for expanding state-owned renewable energy infrastructure. He argued that additional wind and solar farms with proper energy storage could achieve a green transition without harming rivers like Komarnica.
He also asked citizens for patience during the transport, noting that the project serves the public interest.
