“I expect the main tender for selecting the contractor to be announced in September,” Radulović added.

Monteput, the company overseeing the project, reported on Instagram that the pre-qualification public call for the design and construction of the Bar-Boljare highway, specifically the Mateševo-Andrijevica section, has been completed.

“High interest from companies in recent months has resulted in eight applications for the pre-qualification tender – five companies and three consortia have shown interest in participating,” they stated.

The tender was open to all international participants in accordance with the current rules and procurement policies of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

“Next, we will evaluate the applications in accordance with EBRD criteria, which include legal and financial capabilities, proven experience on similar projects, and compliance with internationally recognized environmental, social, health, and safety standards,” Monteput explained.
