Companies from Hungary are significantly investing in Montenegro, especially in the banking, telecommunications, and tourism sectors, announced the ambassador of Hungary, Jožef Neđeši.
During a meeting with the Minister of Finance, Novica Vuković, Neđeši proposed expediting negotiations on the agreement on mutual protection of investments, initiated in 2016, aiming to enhance the satisfaction of existing investors and attract new ones.
Vuković stated that the government will carefully craft a business environment that will be sufficiently stimulating for credible investors.
According to the Ministry’s announcement, Neđeši highlighted Hungary’s full support for Montenegro on its NATO path and assured continued support for its European path.
He expressed high expectations from the current government, believing that it possesses the determination and capacity to timely and fully fulfill the European agenda.
Vuković expressed gratitude for the support and partnership approach that Hungary demonstrates towards Montenegro, emphasizing that Hungary’s support is particularly important, considering that Hungary will assume the presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) in the second half of the year.
He also expects that the traditionally good political, cultural, and economic relations will be further enhanced.
