The Israeli company BIG CEE, the owner of the BIG Fashion shopping center in Podgorica, is expanding to Nikšić. The company is the only one to have submitted an offer for the purchase of a 40,000-square-meter plot of land in Nikšić, in response to a public call for bids.

This was announced by the President of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly, Nemanja Vuković, at the conference “Partnership for an Innovative Future: Synergy of Economy, Local, and Academic Communities,” which was held in the city.

“BIG Fashion is coming to Nikšić! The largest investment in the past few decades, a large number of new jobs, and new opportunities for our citizens,” Vuković wrote on social media.

According to Vuković, this is a significant announcement that he shared with the participants of the conference organized by the Nikšić Municipal Economic Council. He emphasized that by improving cooperation between the local government and the business sector, they would further strengthen the economy of Nikšić.

“The friends from BIG informed me that they have applied for the public call and paid a deposit of 300,000 EUR. This is the only application received for the purchase of the land worth 1,477,035 EUR,” Vuković said.

He reminded that on February 7, a tender was announced for the sale of a 42,201 square meter plot of land, priced at 35 EUR per square meter. The deadline for submitting bids ended on February 17 at noon, and the deadline for withdrawing tender documentation expired on Friday.

“The land is valued at 1.47 million EUR, and the only bid and deposit submitted so far have been from BIG Fashion,” Vuković confirmed.

The land being sold is part of the future Sunny City complex, and it has been previously reported that the Israeli company is interested in opening a facility at this location.
