The luxury beachfront hotel-residential complex “Porta Rai”, being developed in Ulcinj, was officially unveiled in Podgorica this evening. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including high-ranking government officials, members of state institutions, diplomats, business representatives, and media.
Construction of this major tourism project, one of the most significant in Europe over the past decade, will begin in November. The investment, backed by Karisma Hotels & Resorts and international company Dobrov & Family Group, is valued at €170 million.
Nemanja Kostić, Director of Karisma Hotels & Resorts for Europe and the Middle East, highlighted the project’s impact on local entrepreneurship, job creation, and the infusion of global expertise. The project is expected to engage local companies and contribute significantly to Montenegro’s economy, with an estimated €108 million in additional revenues remaining in the country over the next decade, including VAT, profit tax, and other contributions.
“Porta Rai,” located on Velika Plaža, the Adriatic’s longest sandy beach, will offer a five-star experience with exclusive restaurants and bars, a wellness and spa center, seven pools, and various recreational facilities such as padel, tennis, and basketball courts, mini-golf, and a retail zone.
Kostić emphasized that “Porta Rai” will enhance Montenegro’s position on the global luxury map and provide a family-oriented environment with abundant greenery and children’s amenities. He also praised the professionalism of Montenegrin institutions and local government for their support and guidance throughout the project.
