Kolašin is preparing for the winter season with strong booking trends, indicating a promising season ahead, provided there is enough snowfall, according to the director of the local Tourist Organization (TO), Zorica Milašinović.

Speaking at the opening of the New Year’s Bazaar, she stated that they expect sufficient snowfall in December and that the ski season should kick off by mid-month, with an increase in visitors expected in the town.

“Everything is ready for the season, and there is a great interest from tourists. Hotel owners and private accommodation providers have good bookings, and everything depends on snowfall. Everyone is monitoring the weather forecast, and if there are no skiing conditions, we expect many cancellations,” said Milašinović.

The Tourist Organization, with support from the Municipality of Kolašin, is organizing several events and activities, with the first being the New Year’s Bazaar, open until February 15 of next year.

“This is the first winter event organized by the Kolašin Tourist Organization with the support of the Municipality. There are 11 booths at the bazaar this year. We had a great deal of interest from the citizens to rent booths, but we were limited by the number of available spaces. Visitors to the bazaar will be offered hot drinks, homemade food, handcrafted products, souvenirs, and items for children,” added Milašinović.

In addition to the bazaar, the Tourist Organization and the Municipality are preparing other events, such as the Winter Art Festival, which will take place from January 10 to 19. Notable performances include Verica Čuljković on January 10, Marko Prentić on January 13, and a concert by a children’s talent school on January 15, with the festival concluding with a performance by Amira Medunjanin.

Milašinović also noted that, alongside the events in the town, TO Kolašin plans to organize hiking tours, snowshoe walks, and support traditional winter marathons like the Sinjajevina Winter Marathon and the Bjelasica Winter Marathon.
