Montenegro’s economy can only be prepared for digital and green transformation, European integration, and global competition if the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector is strong, stated Nina Drakić, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG).
In collaboration with the Science and Technology Park, PKCG organized the interactive KOMPakt event, providing participants with information on institutional support, grants, training, digital and green transformation programs, innovative IT services, and ways to internationalize businesses and increase competitiveness.
Drakić described KOMPakt as a bridge between business needs and solutions offered by institutions, universities, innovative companies, and the IT sector. She emphasized that partnerships like the one between PKCG and the Science and Technology Park strengthen the business community and promote innovation.
The Chamber continuously supports Montenegrin IT companies to participate in international events, such as the Web Summit in Lisbon, to enhance their capacity and assist the digital transformation of other sectors.
Valentina Radulović, Director of the Science and Technology Park, highlighted the event’s goal to inspire companies to utilize Montenegro’s innovation potential and create partnerships that add value to the economy. She stressed that openness, creativity, and willingness to share knowledge are essential for sustainable development and competitiveness.
Entrepreneurs also shared positive experiences. Nebojša Janović from the startup Paidt noted that collaboration with the Science and Technology Park provided knowledge, technology, connections, and financial resources that significantly strengthened their business. Uroš Mirković, Executive Director of Trony Network, emphasized the importance of gatherings that unite entrepreneurs, innovators, and institutions around shared goals of digital transformation and innovation.
Milica Matović from Alicorn presented the Lead ESG Coach application, designed to help companies adopt ESG standards and EU regulations gradually introduced in Montenegro. The application is in development and expected to launch next month in Banja Luka. She noted the event was a valuable opportunity to demonstrate solutions and assess companies’ readiness for upcoming ESG requirements.
