Šahmanović presented the ministry’s future activities and work plan, which includes aligning national legislation with European standards and introducing new laws regarding oil derivatives reserves and fuel marking.

He stressed that the ministry’s focus would be on advancing key projects such as the Adriatic-Ionian Pipeline (IAP), the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal, and ensuring a just energy transition in the Municipality of Pljevlja. The importance of PKCG’s involvement in these initiatives was particularly emphasized.

The Chamber of Commerce offered its resources to connect with both domestic and regional businesses, aiming to facilitate experience sharing and develop sustainable solutions in the extraction of mineral resources, especially construction-grade stone.

They also discussed strategies for optimizing the use of existing reserves, which would further enhance the mining and mineral extraction sector.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to solidify collaboration through PKCG’s ongoing working groups, including the Energy and Mining Association Committee and the Oil and Oil Derivatives Distributor Group, to ensure ongoing constructive dialogue and the achievement of shared goals.
