In response to media reports linking certain energy sector companies with entities on the U.S. “blacklist,” the Ministry of Energy and Mining has taken action by issuing directives to seek guidance and opinions from relevant authorities on how to proceed in such cases.
- While the Ministry supports companies’ efforts to enhance market operations, regional positioning and competitiveness, it is adamant about upholding our foreign policy priorities. As a result, the Ministry has already advised EPCG Solar Construction to consider terminating contracts with firms associated with the mentioned blacklist – according to the statement.
Furthermore, the Ministry plans to engage with energy sector representatives through the Board of Directors and regular consultations to ensure adherence to these guidelines, aiming to prevent similar issues in the future.

The Ministry clarified that state-majority-owned companies operate in full compliance with the Companies Act and highlighted that it learned of these developments through media reports rather than direct communication from EPCG Solar Construction or CEDIS.
- EPCG Solar Construction and CEDIS did not notify the Ministry about any associations with Milorad Dodik. Moreover, Solar Construction previously announced a licensing agreement with SIEMENS, a reputable German manufacturer, for a comprehensive range of medium-voltage switchgear products – the statement concluded.
