At the opening of the International Economic Conference “Montenegro 2024″—Decade of the Berlin Process, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to creating conditions that enhance the competitiveness of Montenegro’s economy.
He highlighted the importance of economic reforms aimed at establishing a predictable, transparent, and supportive tax policy that fosters growth, investment, and employment. The rule of law, alignment with European agenda requirements, and infrastructure development are critical areas that need significant progress for Montenegro to fully realize its economic potential and become an attractive destination for business and investment.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the Berlin Process would transition from a narrative of future prospects to discussions about challenges and trends within the EU’s Single Market, where Montenegro aspires to be a full member.
The conference, a key economic event in the region, gathers decision-makers, prominent business figures, and experts, with a focus on the theme “Decade of the Berlin Process.” Co-organized with the Eastern Committee of German Business, the event aims to strengthen connections between the Western Balkans and the European Union.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce also underscored the significance of the Berlin Process in fostering economic, infrastructural, and political ties between the Western Balkans and the EU.
