“One of our priorities is aligning with the highest environmental standards while simultaneously creating economic benefits. We have already started amending outdated laws in the gas and mining sectors, and we are investing in the reconstruction of public storage tanks, thanks to funds received from the European Commission,” Šahmanović said.

The meeting also focused on potential cooperation in the academic domain.

In this regard, Steiner spoke about specialized educational institutions in Austria for the mining sector, which offer unique expertise in research and the development of new technologies in mining.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the agreements reached and readiness to organize the next meeting, where concrete projects and plans would be defined.

“This initiative represents another step toward strengthening ties between the two countries and creating joint projects that will have a long-term positive impact on economic growth and sustainable development,” the statement concludes.
