The cooperation between Montenegro and Italy is strong and effective, with significant potential for further strengthening economic ties, said Italian Ambassador Andreina Marsela during a meeting with Montenegro’s Minister of Public Works, Majda Adžović.
According to the Ministry of Public Works, the meeting highlighted mutual satisfaction with the exceptionally strong and dynamic bilateral relations between Montenegro and Italy, which are continuously developing in a spirit of friendship, alliance, trust, and mutual respect.
Adžović emphasized the importance of a robust partnership with Italy as a reliable ally of Montenegro, which consistently supports the country not only on its European integration path but also in enhancing economic relations and promoting strategic investments.
She particularly noted Italy’s support for Montenegro’s EU enlargement process and its ongoing assistance in achieving full EU membership.
Adžović also introduced the ambassador to the goals and responsibilities of the newly formed Ministry, stressing the importance of focused efforts on economic development and the networking of Montenegro, which are key priorities of the government.
“By establishing the Ministry, we have created space for more efficient management of key infrastructure and strategic projects,” Adžović said.
Marsela highlighted the strong and effective cooperation between Montenegro and Italy, emphasizing the significant potential for further boosting economic collaboration. She expressed Italy’s satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation and assured that Montenegro can continue to count on Italy’s full support in its European ambitions and strategic development.
The two officials also exchanged views on organizing a business forum in the near future, which would serve as a platform for intensifying business connections between Montenegro and Italy, exchanging ideas, and opening new investment opportunities.
They also discussed further steps to improve the strategic partnership, focusing on initiatives that reflect the joint commitment of Italy and Montenegro to sustainable development, technology, and growth.
