Montenegro and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are currently implementing 40 projects, and the total portfolio amounts to EUR 315 million. Of that, 27% is intended for the private sector.
This was announced after the meeting between Finance Minister Aleksandar Damjanović and EBRD Board of Directors member Rosemary Šlup, where they discussed the current status of partnership projects that Montenegro has with this international financial institution.
– The potential projects of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Montenegro should be viewed through a new geopolitical prism and the current difficulties currently faced by strong world economies, and inevitably small and dependent ones, such as Montenegrin – the interlocutors concluded.
As announced by the Ministry of Finance, the priority of Montenegro remains infrastructure projects in energy and transport, among which the highway is the leading one.
Damjanović thanked for the support so far, with the expectation that the successful cooperation will continue in the future.
