Montenegro and Turkey strengthen economic ties for mutual growth

Montenegro and Turkey can achieve significant progress for the benefit of their citizens through continuous and efficient economic cooperation, said the Minister of Economic Development, Nik Đeljošaj.

According to a statement from the Government, Đeljošaj made this remark during a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkey to Montenegro, Bariş Kalkavan.

The statement mentions that both Đeljošaj and Kalkavan highlighted the exemplary relations and excellent cooperation between Montenegro and Turkey, which has been further strengthened through constructive partnership within NATO.

Đeljošaj emphasized the current projects of the Ministry of Economic Development, including the Program for Improving the Competitiveness of the Economy, the “Limited Prices” action, and activities related to the formation of commodity reserves.

“We believe that economic and trade cooperation is key to the development and prosperity of a country, and we are strongly committed to investments, the promotion of capital projects, and deepening economic relations between partner countries,” said Đeljošaj.

He stressed that through continuous and efficient economic cooperation, strategic and innovative investments, as well as the modernization and development of tourism potential, Montenegro and Turkey can make significant progress for the benefit of both countries’ citizens.
