The Governor of Montenegro’s Central Bank (CBCG), Irena Radović, will participate today and tomorrow in the Bled Strategic Forum.
Radović will speak on a panel titled Shaping European Economic Resilience: Strategic Responses, Payment System Integration and the Digital Euro, alongside high-level representatives from European institutions and the central bank governors of Slovenia and Estonia. The panel will focus on the role of payment systems in strengthening European economic resilience and the global challenges posed by financial digitalization.
During her visit, Radović will also hold bilateral meetings at the Bank of Slovenia, including with Acting Governor Primož Dolenec, as well as discussions with the management and board on improving cooperation, with emphasis on payment system integration and development.
CBCG emphasized that Radović’s participation highlights Montenegro’s contribution to regional and European financial flows, underlines the country’s commitment to financial stability and reforms, and reflects the importance of EU candidate countries aligning with European standards even before full membership.
The 20th Bled Strategic Forum, themed A World Slipping Out of Control, will focus on Europe’s role in building a more stable and resilient future amid complex geopolitical and economic challenges. The forum, founded in 2006, has become a leading platform in Central and Southeastern Europe for strategic dialogue among state leaders, European commissioners, central bank governors, and international decision-makers.
