Montenegro may soon get a direct Madrid–Podgorica flight as Spanish airline Iberia considers launching services to the capital. The move follows strong performance and high load factors on Vueling’s seasonal Barcelona–Tivat route.
Montenegro’s Tourism Minister Simonida Kordić recently met with representatives of the IAG Group, which includes Iberia, British Airways, Vueling, Aer Lingus, and LEVEL, to discuss potential flights. IAG is currently evaluating key market indicators, while both sides highlighted that a joint promotional campaign in Spain would be essential for a successful launch.
