In response to renewed calls from residents of Pržno and Sveti Stefan regarding the termination of the contract with Adriatic Properties for the lease of Hotel Sveti Stefan on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development, Nik Đeljošaj, Minister of Economic Development and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy, expressed his full understanding and support.
“Recognizing the community’s efforts to maximize the utilization of Hotel Sveti Stefan, I share their concerns,” said Đeljošaj.
He emphasized that the current stalemate does not benefit either party and reiterated his call for Adriatic Properties to honor the terms of the contract by opening Sveti Stefan as agreed. Đeljošaj warned that the Government, through the relevant Ministry, will take all necessary legal measures to safeguard Montenegro’s interests, emphasizing the importance of Sveti Stefan remaining operational.
“As the 44th Government, inheriting this unresolved issue, we are committed to upholding contractual obligations within the framework of Montenegro’s laws,” Đeljošaj affirmed.
He concluded by reaffirming the Government’s stance to uphold the lease contract and urged compliance with legal regulations governing such agreements, underscoring the importance of community concerns in this matter.
