The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has released an updated list – Country Risk Classifications, according to which Montenegro’s rating has improved from category seven to category six, announced the Ministry of Finance.
“The improvement in the OECD rating reflects the enhancement of the overall perception of a country’s risk, taking into account economic indicators, the assessment of current political stability, as well as prominent efforts in implementing reforms, particularly in improving transparency,” said the Ministry.
They reminded that the OECD is an intergovernmental organization consisting of 38 member countries, established in 1961 with the aim of promoting economic development and international trade.
“Progress in classification, according to OECD standards, has positive implications and contributes not only to improving the environment for international cooperation but also to attracting investments, potential grants, and increasing the competitiveness of international financing conditions for strategic projects,” said the Ministry.
