Montenegro households’ electricity usage grows in July, average bill approximately €40

In July 2025, households in Montenegro consumed 143,825,665 kWh of electricity, 25.29% more than in June 2025, but 5.68% less compared to June 2024, according to the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG).

The average electricity bill for households nationwide, excluding unmetered seasonal properties, was €40.19. Pljevlja recorded the lowest average bill at €19.97, while Ulcinj had the highest at €65.31.

In July, 58.51% of households received bills up to €30, 18.05% between €30 and €50, 17% between €50 and €100, and 6.45% over €100.

A total of 193,800 households (47.85%) received a 38% discount on active energy, and 254,856 households (62.90%) received an additional 6.4% discount on network services.
