The opening of the Consulate of Montenegro in the Turkish city of Edirne will contribute to better connections between entrepreneurs, the promotion of investments, and the development of business opportunities between the two countries, according to the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG).
Pavle D. Radovanović, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, attended the opening of the Consulate of Montenegro, led by honorary consul Naser Alim in Edirne, Turkey.
The PKCG stated that during the event, it was emphasized that there is significant potential for further development of economic cooperation between Montenegro and Turkey. The opening of the Consulate, headed by Alim, a distinguished entrepreneur and former president of the Turkey-Montenegro Business Council within the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board, will contribute to better connections between entrepreneurs, investment promotion, and the development of business opportunities between the two nations.
Radovanović also visited Sezai Irmak, the President of the Edirne Chamber of Commerce. During the visit, discussions were held on increasing trade opportunities and potential cooperation between the two institutions.
Furthermore, joint projects and activities to strengthen mutual relations were discussed.
The ceremony was attended by Ivana Đukanović, the Acting General Director of the Directorate for Consular Affairs and Cooperation with the Diaspora, who highlighted the deep historical and friendly ties between Montenegro and Turkey.
Alim emphasized that the Consulate will actively work on promoting Montenegro, strengthening economic and cultural ties, organizing joint events, and showcasing Montenegro’s tourism potential.
The opening ceremony was attended by senior representatives from Turkish institutions, local authorities, and prominent members of the social and business community.
Following the ceremony, a presentation of Montenegro’s investment potential was held, with representatives from the Investment Agency and the PKCG present.
