According to data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), by the end of September, 21,130 companies and entrepreneurs in Montenegro had blocked accounts, marking a 0.15 percent increase compared to the end of August, reports MINA Agency.
The total debt behind the blocked accounts amounted to €1.54 billion, up 1.16 percent from August. Debt concentration remains relatively high, with the ten largest debtors—representing just 0.05 percent of all recorded entities—accounting for 35.63 percent of the total blocked amount, totaling €547.17 million.
Additionally, 50 of the largest debtors, making up 0.24 percent of all recorded entities, are responsible for 54.5 percent of the total blocked amount, or €837.08 million.
Accounts blocked for up to one year included 1,290 debtors, with a total of €35.57 million blocked, representing 2.3 percent of the overall blocked sum.
Meanwhile, 19,840 companies and entrepreneurs have been in block for over a year, with blocked amounts totaling €1.5 billion.
