Montenegro sees 37.3% growth in gambling revenue for Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, total revenue from gambling and prize games reached €9,026,819.09. According to the announcement from the Gambling Administration, this marks a 37.30% increase compared to the first quarter of the previous year.

During this period, there was an 81.23% increase in revenue from casino games, amounting to €1,029,322.59. Additionally, revenue from betting games amounted to €2,499,202.61, reflecting a 6.05% increase. Total revenue from organizing online gambling and other telecommunication-based games reached €3,750,701.82, showing a 69.70% increase compared to the first three months of 2024. Revenue from gambling activities in slot clubs also rose by 20.98%, reaching €1,726,521.94, the administration specified.

They stated that these results clearly reflect the successful implementation of policies fully aligned with the goals set by the Ministry of Finance and the Government of Montenegro.

This continuous revenue growth, supported by improved oversight mechanisms and the implementation of a new information system, further strengthens the position of the Gambling Administration as a key factor in boosting budget revenues. The Gambling Administration will continue to work towards ensuring sustainability, transparency, and accountability among all stakeholders in the gambling sector, the statement concluded.
