According to official data from Montenegro’s Statistical Office (MONSTAT), the country recorded 342,000 tourist arrivals in June, a 7% increase compared to the same month last year, National Tourism Organization (NTO) representative Milena Vujović said.
Unofficial weekly figures from local tourism organizations show that on August 21, there were 167,000 tourists in Montenegro, up 2.5% year-on-year. The highest numbers were in Budva, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, and Bar, with most visitors coming from the region, the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Turkey, and Israel.
From January to August 20, designated tourism revenues — including accommodation tax, tourist tax, and membership fees paid into the state budget — reached €2.78 million, up 2.6% from last year. Montenegro’s National Parks also saw about 30% more visitors compared to 2024.
