April records remarkable surge in trading volume at Montenegro Stock Exchange

In April, the Montenegro Stock Exchange witnessed a substantial surge in activity, with total turnover reaching EUR 1.05 million, marking an impressive 502.07% increase from the previous month.

According to the latest report from the Montenegro Stock Exchange, this surge represents a remarkable 252.20% rise compared to April of the previous year.

The average daily turnover for April stood at EUR 47,550.39, reflecting sustained market activity throughout the month.

During the 22 trading days in April, a total of 143 transactions were executed, showcasing robust trading activity. This contrasts with the 91 transactions recorded in April 2023 over 18 trading days.

The breakdown of turnover reveals that EUR 115,478.86 was traded on the prime market, with 43 transactions completed. Additionally, there were 16 transactions on the standard market, amounting to a turnover of EUR 8,459.44.

Furthermore, the free market saw 68 transactions and a turnover of EUR 556,290.83 during April.

On the MTP ME market, EUR 365,879.45 worth of transactions were conducted across 16 deals.

Of particular note is the turnover generated by shares of issuers constituting the MNSE 10 index, totaling EUR 211,895.81. This accounted for 20.26% of the overall turnover on the Montenegro Stock Exchange. Notably, MNSE 10 index issuers were involved in 94 transactions, representing 65.73% of all transactions in April.

As of April 30, the MNSE10 index stood at 992.19 points, showing a slight decrease of 0.62% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the MONEX index recorded 14,788.40 points on the same date, marking a 1.47% increase from the previous year.

The month concluded with a total market capitalization of EUR 2.52 billion, reflecting an increase of EUR 117.97 million or 4.91% compared to April of the previous year.
