Montenegro has always been a maritime country and will continue to be one through reforms, responsibility, and renewal, stated Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović. Speaking at an event in Kotor commemorating International Seafarers’ Day, Radulović emphasized that this is the first time the day has been officially recognized at an institutional level in Montenegro.
He affirmed that under his leadership, the Ministry is committed to concrete, measurable, and sustainable reforms aimed at improving conditions for Montenegrin seafarers, who deserve greater recognition and support.
International Seafarers’ Day is officially acknowledged by the United Nations as a tribute to the vital contribution of seafarers to global maritime trade and the economy.
The Ministry also highlighted this year’s campaign by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), titled “My Ship Environment Without Harassment,” which promotes a culture of mutual respect and zero tolerance for any form of harassment in the maritime community.
